Students of West Bohemia’s Sutnarka produce video presentation on Baba1932

Aside from prestige, being awarded an EHL designation also entails obligations, such as an annual meeting of the representatives of all six awarded locations, or collaborating with schools, thanks to which for example the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art at University of West Bohemia, Plzeň produced a 3D presentation of Baba intended for people under 18 based on an assignment by Prague City Hall. Part of the concept is the form “for students by students”, where students themselves help produce the project. In the same manner, a “package” of educational activities for secondary school students with methodological material for teachers is currently being produced at the Pražské humanitní gymnázium. The goal of this pilot project is to familiarise young generations in an attractive form with the unique Baba Housing Estate and the progressive figures of the investors, builders and architects of the individual surviving villas, as well as the interesting historic context of the turn of the 1920s and 30s, the time when this unique functionalist residential ensemble was built in Prague.
